１０月３０日から１１月３日にかけて「第７回世界のウチナーンチュ大会」が開催されます。世界中のウチナーンチュが故郷・沖縄に集まって県民と交流したり、自らのルーツやアイデンティティーを改めて確認したりする、５年に一度のウチナーンチュの祭典です。新型コロナウイルスの影響で１年延期となり、前回大会から６年ぶりの開催。今回はリアルとオンラインでの開催になります。待ちに待った大会は、沖縄の歴史や文化を学び、ウチナーネットワークの大切さや絆を感じることができるイベントが盛りだくさん。その中から親子で楽しめるイベントを紹介します！（写真は全て前回大会から） ※小中学生新聞りゅうＰＯＮを再編集したものです。

From October 30 to November 3, "The 7th Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival" will be held. This is an event held once every five years where Uchinanchu from around the world gather in their hometown of Okinawa to interact with Okinawan residents and reaffirm their roots and identities. The World Uchinanchu Festival will open with a simultaneous sanshin (Okinawan traditional three-stringed instrument) performance by approximately 400 people. Participants from overseas and Japan will be welcomed by attractions by the Nishihara High School Marching Band and a special live performance by the popular group "HY" to enliven the event. うまんちゅ大交流祭では、県系人と県民が歌や踊り、民俗芸能を披露するステージや、三線、琉装、からじゆいなどを体験できるワークショップ、資料展や物産展を実施します。おいしい料理を楽しめるキッチンカーも出店するよ！ 県民栄誉賞特別企画展（安室奈美恵さん、喜友名諒さん）も、今回特別に開催します。

The Umanchu Grand Exchange Festival will feature a stage where people of Okinawa descent and residents of the prefecture will perform songs, dances, and folk performing arts, workshops to experience sanshin, Ryukyuan costumes, karajiyui, etc., as well as an exhibition of materials and products. There will even be a kitchen car set up for visitors to enjoy delicious food! The Prefectural Citizens' Honor Awards Special Exhibition (Namie Amuro and Ryo Kituna) will also be held specially for this year's event.

大会を締めくくる閉会式・グランドフィナーレは海外・県内各地とオンラインで結び、リレー中継で会場に来られなかった県系人とも感動を分かち合います。ＢＥＧＩＮや紫、ディアマンテスが歌声を披露。観客と一体となり、ウチナーンチュのパワーと絆を確かめ合います。
